The Labotronic RTL is an electronic batch freezer which, thanks to its 6 pre-set and changeable programmes, can make the work of all artisan ice cream makers easier with a new twist, because it offers different mixes that can be changed based on the season, the amount of ice cream to be made or any particular requirements.

Thanks to its innovative Excellent programme, this batch freezer can manage the amount of cold gas provided for the ice cream, meaning you can also mix small amounts of ice cream, and get an overrun and a very creamy end product.

PERFORMANCE

  • Post-Cooling. This is very useful in bigger models; it is used to turn the cold setting back on when the ice cream is being removed and therefore to keep the consistency intact even for ice cream that comes out last.
  • One-Piece Cylinder. The mixing cylinder and front blade are made from a single piece for the best cleaning and guaranteed hygiene.
  • POM Beater. Featuring no central shaft and cold-proof blades so all of the ice cream is removed: hard and lightweight, it has self-adjusting scraper pads so the cylinder is constantly clean and performs well.

CONVENIENCE

During the dynamic mixing of ice cream, the display shows:

  • the name of the chosen programme
  • the actual consistency, which gradually changes as the mixture thickens
  • a histogram, which grows as the consistency of the ice cream increases
  • the final consistency, which can be easily changed all throughout the cycle.

The Labotronic RTL batch freezer is easy to use and has been designed to adapt to the ice cream maker. In fact, both adding the mixture into the hopper and removing the ice cream are always done standing upright; while the controls are intuitive and the same for all Labotronic machines.

SAVING

HARD-O-DYNAMIC (H.O.D.) PATENTED: this new Carpigiani-patented process saves a considerable amount of energy, while performing the following functions:

  • it starts the mixing, while constantly checking the formation of the ice cream’s structure;
  • it systematically analyses the machine’s electrical parameters and heat exchanges; and it assesses the time intervals between the mixture’s change of state from liquid to solid, adapting the performance of the refrigeration system while the ice cream is being made.

It does all this while dynamically modulating the addition of cold gas depending on the amount of mixture added, i.e. a minimum, average or maximum cylinder load, as well as on the type of mixture used, whether it is a rich creamy ice cream or a delicate fruit sorbet, and the chosen quality of the ice cream.

Thanks to the H.O.D. system, the Labotronic RTL adapts brilliantly to gelato makers’ needs and their special, personal mixtures, and to the different production requirements of high and low season.

SAFETY – HYGIENE

The new generation of RTL machines has raised its own quality standards, both in terms of productivity and reliability during all phases of making gelato.

The Labotronic RTL is a tireless, safe machine. In fact, even after a power failure or accidental halt, an automatic DEFROST procedure is launched to allow production to start up again quickly, so the gelato can be taken out.
By selecting the special LCD button, you can choose the following options from the display:

  1. Traditional washing
  2. Quicker washing with Defrost
  3. Defrost.

Furthermore, all machines are fitted with:

  • A removable ice cream chute, to make it easier to fully clean and remove all ice cream residue from this accessory which is always in direct contact with the product.
  • Tub-holder mat. This shelf cover mat is moulded to keep the 36×16 tubs and larger 36×25 tubs in position, as well as traditional cylinder tubs, so you can add swirls and enrich the ice cream while it is coming out of the batch freezer.
